Stata (Texas, USA) is a widely used statistical package.
While stata offers sophisticated methods for data analysis, it was not originally developed for epidemiologists and sometime the available commands don’t match exactly our needs. Thanks to the great stata's possibility of writing users, command, a lot of experimented users have developed there own commands to facilitate their dayly tasks.
In order to facilitate some aspects of the analysis of epidemiological data, at Epiconcept or in collaboration with other institutions, we have developed several commands dedicates to epidemiologists needs. These commands come from differents sources and are freely distributable.
The objective of our web site es to share valuables tools among epidemiologists community. Our first package includes :
cstable and cctable which was presented during Escaid (Link to Escaide poster). These commands facilitate univariate analysis putting all results for several exposure variables in one ordered summary table
csinter is command wich describes effect modification and calculates additive interaction in cohort studies.
epicurve is a graphic command which allows to building epidemic curves with one square for one case.
To install these new commands the recommended way is to launch Stata. While in the Stata command window : type
net from http://www.epiconcept.fr/stata
Or search the Internet in Stata by typing :
findit cstable
You then get a new viewer window showing the command list. Then, directly from the viewer windows, click on the proposed links to install.
If Installed that way, the next time you will update Stata, it will also check for an update of these commands.
